Easy Chocobo Races During the chocobo racing mini-game, hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 to increase your chocobo's speed. Hold R1 + R2 to recover your chocobo's stamina.
Item Duplication You have to have the W-Item Materia for this to work. Equip it, and select the first item and use it. Then select your second item, do not use it, just place the cursor on someone. Press the cancel button, select the item again and press cancel. Keep repeating this and the first item you used will keep increasing by one.
Pass The Midgar Zolom without Chocobo This cheat is actually a glitch unknown to most gamers. Now, as you may well know, there are two main methods of passing the Midagr Zolom: either on chocobo back, or by defeating it. To pass without using EITHER method simply do this: Wait until the Zolom is in one of the corners, and then make a mad dash for the other side. When the zolom is VERY, VERY close to touching you, quickly go to the menu screen, and save. When you leave the menu screen after saving, do a soft reset by holding all the shoulder buttons and pressing start + select. When you load from that save, the Zolom will be in the farthest corner from you, allowing you to run across the marshes untouched!

Soft Reset I suppose anyone who has been playing any SquareSoft games will know this trick. This trick works for other Final Fantasties, Chrono Cross, Legend Of Mana and MORE. If you're frustrated of having to restart your PlayStation over and over again and want to restart your game very quickly then hold the four buttons at the top, as well as Select and Start. In short, it is to hold L1, L2, R1, R2, Select and Start. The game will restart within seconds and the usual logo which says 'Published by Square Electronic Arts L.C.C' will appear.
